🌿 Let’s Glow After 40

Let’s Glow After 40 is a personal brand website focused on women’s health, mindset, and lifestyle after 40.

The project was built as a complete end-to-end solution - from local development and design collaboration to deployment and client handover — with a strong focus on usability and long-term maintainability.

Key Features

  • Client-Friendly CMS: Built on WordPress to allow non-technical users to easily manage blog content and updates.
  • Responsive Design: Optimized layout for mobile and desktop users.
  • Structured Content Strategy: Blog categories designed as pillar pages to support long-term content growth.
  • SEO Optimization: Integrated RankMath for improved visibility and content structure.
  • Custom UI Adjustments: Tailored layouts using Kadence and Elementor, balancing flexibility and performance.

Engineering Highlights

🎯 Client-Oriented Architecture

Instead of building a custom frontend, I intentionally chose WordPress to ensure the client could independently manage content without developer involvement.

This decision prioritized usability and sustainability over technical complexity, aligning the solution with real business needs.

🧩 Working Around Platform Limitations

The project required dynamic blog layouts and category-based content structuring without relying on premium plugins.

To achieve this:

  • Implemented custom HTML/CSS within WordPress to simulate advanced archive layouts
  • Combined Kadence blocks and Elementor strategically to overcome individual limitations
  • Structured categories as reusable content sections (pillar pages)

⚠️ Production Challenges

Working in a real hosting environment introduced several issues that required debugging and system-level fixes:

  • CDN caching issues causing outdated content to persist across devices
  • Import/export limitations due to server-side upload constraints
  • PHP configuration tuning (upload limits, post size) via hosting panel
  • Staging vs production inconsistencies during deployment

These challenges were resolved through a combination of hosting configuration, cache management, and deployment adjustments.

🎨 Design & Real-World Constraints

The project was built using existing client-provided content and limited-quality images.

To maintain visual quality:

  • Applied overlays and layout adjustments to improve readability
  • Balanced design expectations with available assets
  • Collaborated with a designer (logo/branding) to ensure a consistent visual identity
